Dr. Shachi Joshi is an experienced ophthalmologist and Retina Consultant at Surya Eye, with over 10 years of experience in diagnosing and treating retinal disorders. She specialises in vitreoretinal surgery and the management of retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and retinopathy of prematurity (ROP).
She has performed over 5,000 retinal surgeries and 5,000 retinal laser procedures, including treatment for retinopathy of prematurity. Her clinical expertise includes vitrectomy, intravitreal injections and advanced retinal treatments.
Dr. Joshi completed her MBBS from MUHS, Nashik, followed by DNB in Ophthalmology from Sankara Eye Institute, Karnataka. She subsequently completed a Fellowship in Medical Retina at Dr. Nagpal's Retina Foundation, Ahmedabad, and a Fellowship in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery at Grant Medical College and Sir J. J. Hospital, Mumbai.
She also served as a Senior Resident at Grant Medical College and Sir J. J. Hospital, Mumbai. Committed to advancing retinal care, Dr. Joshi actively participates in professional ophthalmology conferences and promotes awareness of lifestyle-associated eye and retinal disorders.
