Every year at Surya, we treat World Sight Day as a new beginning in eye care. It is a day to set fresh resolutions and review the ones made in the previous year, that of bettering existing standards and setting new paradigms in the field. Our commitment to society is paramount and we renew our pledge to serve it with greater dedication and vigour. On that day, we start by offering free eye check-ups to patients belonging to a cross section of society.

On World Sight Day 2002, Dr Goyal took the initiative in offering a free eye check-up to 1226 diabetic patients, another 1,328 patients got the benefit of the free check-up in 2003.
Continuing the good work, a series of check-ups and seminars followed in various corporate and multi-national companies, the likes of Larsen & Toubro, Glaxo, Godrej, RPG Cables, Precisions, Indel and Avdel.

The tradition continues in 2006, with as many as ____________ patients getting the benefit of the check-ups in the presence of Mr Mahesh Bhatt, well known film personality and Mr Sharma, Director Doordarshan.
