Dr. Quresh Maskati
M.S., D.O.M.S., F.I.C.S., F.C.P.S.
A post-graduate gold medalist in Ophthalmology, Dr. Quresh Maskati is a super-specialist in diseases of the cornea and anterior segment microsurgery.
He is the only ophthalmologist in Asia having extensive experience of the Pintucci Keratoprosthesis. He presented this work at the ARVO (Association for research in Vision and Ophthalmology) meeting and the International Ocular Surface society and Kpro society meetings in USA, Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, and at the Asia Pacific Congress in Bangkok. He also demonstrated this surgery live at Manila, Colombo and Karachi.
He was ophthalmic advisor to “Sight Savers International” (formerly Royal commonwealth Society for the Blind) for the whole of India, for 6 years.
He has over 2 dozen scientific publications to his name in national and international journals and is the co-author of chapters on “Ophthalmology” in 4 books. He has been conducting an “Ophthalmic Quiz” at the National Ophthalmological Conference every year, since the past 12 years. He has been a speaker at various National and International Conferences and has been invited to lecture and teach eye surgery at China.
He has been the youngest President of the Maharashtra Ophthalmological Society and the Bombay Ophthalmologists’ Association. He has also participated in and conducted numerous cataract and squint surgical camps
